Description
Chellberg Farm was added to the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore in 1972. In 1869 the Chellbergs (Kjellbergs), a Swedish immigrant family, purchased 80 acres (a large farm in those days) on the southern shores of Lake Michigan to farm. This brick home, built in 1885 to replace an earlier structure that burned, was home to three generations of Chellbergs. It has been restored to its early 1900s appearance by the National Park Service.

Fabulous work, Scott! It's like taking a glimpse into the past especially with the sepia toning. I love how their overalls and skirt really look from a different era and I can see by the description, they've been laid out this way. Certainly belongs to Kerstin and Sven (of course, I made those up). It's an image that conjures up stories of who these people were. Wonderful. :-) Maggie

I like the sepia tones in this....it's very fitting for the subject matter. This is a great capture, with the building somewhat secondary to the hanging clothes. First I look at the clothes and then my eye travels all throughout the background. Really nice! like/f
