Scott, There are some short hikes in Zion that are still doable for us '51ers....the Parus Trail is beautiful and just walking along the road and looking up will amaze you ( just gotta watch the tourist trams !) Summers can be a bit hot on the canyon floor. We love to go in fall and spring but have been there in summer and winter as well. The Desert Pearl is a great place to stay in Springdale, especially on the 2nd floor!

Great B & W of Monument Valley, Scott...if this place impressed you you will LOVE Zion...if you ever go there let me know so that I might recommend some places to go and hike! FAV / Like

Scott Kingery replied:

Thank you, Jerry. I don't know how many years of hiking I have left as the body is breaking down! But it is the one remaining place that is high on my list to see. This summer, we are going with our son and daughter-in-law to Rocky Mountain Nat. Park. That will be a test I guess as to how much I have left in the tank.
