Artist's Description

Lemon Lake County Park in my Hometown of Cedar Lake, Indiana is popular in all seasons. The winter season is popular for cross country skiing. I was hiking during a snowfall, as I love to do in the "right" snow. Some visitors prior to me had brushed off some of the snow to sit down. The snow was beginning to cover the seats and table again. Great spot to enjoy a thermos of hot chocolate!

In college, I actually started out as a Forestry major before making the switch to Fine Art. Most of my art course work was completed at Sacramento State College in California, with an emphasis in Illustration. I received a BFA from Indiana University in 1977. I worked as a graphic artist for over thirty five years. My art interests have always been eclectic. I like experimenting with different media, exploring ways to add texture, and combining different media. That illustrator part of me always comes back to realism though. My favorite mediums have always been acrylic and collage. In recent years however, I have gone to working in colored pencils (prismacolor and also pastel pencils).
