Scott, This is a wonderful work of art! Colorado is most impressive. I noticed that you commented on a photo of Zion National Park. You must see it. Artist's Description

Sometime back my wife and I took a jeep trip up to Yankee Boy Basin in Ouray. We were literally over 14,000 feet. Mount Sneffels is actually higher than Pikes Peak. This drawing is from that trip. I was always fascinated with the textures and tones of the mountains at that elevation.

Scott Kingery

In college, I actually started out as a Forestry major before making the switch to Fine Art. Most of my art course work was completed at Sacramento State College in California, with an emphasis in Illustration. I received a BFA from Indiana University in 1977. I worked as a graphic artist for over thirty five years. My art interests have always been eclectic. I like experimenting with different media, exploring ways to add texture, and combining different media. That illustrator part of me always comes back to realism though. My favorite mediums have always been acrylic and collage. In recent years however, I have gone to working in colored pencils (prismacolor and also pastel pencils). I like the effects of layering colors. I...
