Most of my art course work was completed at Sacramento State College in California, with an emphasis in Illustration. I received a BFA from Indiana University in 1977. I worked as a graphic artist for over thirty five years. My art interests have always been eclectic. I like experimenting with different media, exploring ways to add texture, and combining different media. That illustrator part of me always comes back to realism though. My favorite mediums have always been acrylic and collage. In recent years however, I have gone to working in colored pencils (prismacolor and also pastel pencils). Shannon Story
Love this composition. The pig reminds me of when I had two young pigs of my own, as a kid. They were always breaking out of their pen. During an ice storm they broke out and and it took my dad and me hours to round them up. After that, we had bacon and ham for a year. HA.
Scott Kingery replied:
Great story Shannon. I actually had pork belly when I took the photo. I was standing there where several other pigs were, when one of them stuck it's snout through the fence into my stomach leaving a pig nose imprint. Thank you for looking Shannon.
