Description
Fern Cliff Nature Preserve in Putnam County, Indiana is just 6 miles southwest of Greencastle, Indiana. Entering the preserve through the dense forest canopy, one is not prepared for the lush, deep ravines and awe-inspiring cliffs with a profusion of ferns growing up the sandstone walls. Seemed like a nice Jurassic Park setting. Dedicated as a National Natural Landmark in 1980, Fern Cliff is managed by the Nature Conservancy in Indiana.
