Scott... wherever you're getting all the items for your incredible compositions... man, I'd like to follow you around for inspiration. Really nice portfolio of work. Denny

Scott Kingery replied:

Thank you, Denny. I am flattered. Most of the items are things my father collected which are still in my mother's house. I still find things I didn't know were there. In the garage for example, is a WWII stretcher.

Fantastic still life capture of this hodgepodge collection of stuff, Scott! My husband has dozens of such boxes - his famous words: "You never know when you might need one of these!" The trouble is, when he does need "one of these", he can never find it, buys a new one and so the collection grows! L/F

Scott Kingery replied:

Thank you for the visit and most appreciated compliment, Hanne.

A great box of many assorted collectables of your fathers. All unique and different. I had a relative who couldn't part with things and we had to go through the boxes of his collectables. Hodgepodge is the right word here for both of our relatives. Great photo!

Scott Kingery replied:

Thank you, Lucinda. My dad could spot something along the road while driving. When he could, he would pull over and go see what it was. He was always coming home with something.

About Scott Kingery

Scott Kingery

In college, I actually started out as a Forestry major before making the switch to Fine Art. Most of my art course work was completed at Sacramento State College in California, with an emphasis in Illustration. I received a BFA from Indiana University in 1977. I worked as a graphic artist for over thirty five years. My art interests have always been eclectic. I like experimenting with different media, exploring ways to add texture, and combining different media. That illustrator part of me always comes back to realism though. My favorite mediums have always been acrylic and collage. In recent years however, I have gone to working in colored pencils (prismacolor and also pastel pencils). I like the effects of layering colors. I...
