About Scott Kingery
In college, I actually started out as a Forestry major before making the switch to Fine Art. Most of my art course work was completed at Sacramento State College in California, with an emphasis in Illustration. I received a BFA from Indiana University in 1977. I worked as a graphic artist for over thirty five years. My art interests have always been eclectic. I like experimenting with different media, exploring ways to add texture, and combining different media. That illustrator part of me always comes back to realism though. My favorite mediums have always been acrylic and collage. In recent years however, I have gone to working in colored pencils (prismacolor and also pastel pencils). Scott, this is very lovely ... wonderful soft pastel palette ... love looking out past the old porch to the pasture ... in some ways it reminds me of my grandmother's farm. Your drawing technique is truly lovely ... what a talented artist you are!!!
