Description
When our son was six, we took him to Disneyworld. Thirty years later my wife and I were invited to accompany him, our daughter-in-law and our two grandchildren to Disneyworld over this year's New Year holiday. The first time around, the focus was on the rides, and I was as much into the rides as any kid. This time around, the focus was still on the rides as our grandchildren are ages seven and nine. However, this time around what I appreciated most was not the rides. I admit that Avatar and Ratatouille were hoots. What can be done by sitting in a chair in front of a huge screen wearing a pair of 3D glasses is amazing.
When you are running from one ride to another, the opportunity to shoot pictures is on the fly. This visit, I found myself more interested in the details and design of the place. Trying to capture what interested me visually was a challenge as there were just too many people for me made worse due to the holiday. Though I will never go back, seeing all the holiday decorations was a memorable experience. These images I will be uploading are what I found visually interesting. They are mostly about the details.
