About Scott Kingery
In college, I actually started out as a Forestry major before making the switch to Fine Art. Most of my art course work was completed at Sacramento State College in California, with an emphasis in Illustration. I received a BFA from Indiana University in 1977. I worked as a graphic artist for over thirty five years. My art interests have always been eclectic. I like experimenting with different media, exploring ways to add texture, and combining different media. That illustrator part of me always comes back to realism though. My favorite mediums have always been acrylic and collage. In recent years however, I have gone to working in colored pencils (prismacolor and also pastel pencils). Is this how you see yourself? My husband and you would either have fought each other or been like the Lone Ranger and Tonto. Both he and I like westerns but we tend to side with the Indians more. Love this portrial, excellent detail.

This was a venture into Walter Mitty territory in my younger days. Went through a period of recreating scenes from old movies. This scene is from the beginning of Red River. Yeah, I grew up on John Wayne movies. Thank you for the compliment, Audrey.
