Description
The old tool box in this image was hand-made by by my great grandfather on my father's side. I never knew him as he passed away before I was born. Some of the old tools are from that side of the family as well.

This is what I was referring to... beautiful photo and arrangement of the elements... I'd like to investigate this garage myself.
Scott Kingery replied:
Thank you, Denny for taking the time to look and comment. I look at your work and wonder where in the heck you come up with those vintage things. Then I think about quite a few years ago when this elderly woman provided a display of old kitchen items for the library where I am employed as Graphic Artist/Exhibit Coordinator. After the term of the display, she didn't want the items and just gave them to me. I held on the the items for some years in our crawl space. When we down sized some years later, I sold most of the items. Now that I have gotten interested in still life, I wished I had kept more of it.

Oh Scott, this brings back so many memories of my Dad in this workshop. I love the texture and the overall look. Thank you!

Great still life, Scott ... a couple of those old tools really are familiar ... my dad was a very talented fixer ... and he even set up a little spot on his work bench that was just for me!!! I love that your great grandfather made the tool box ... what a wonderful keepsake for you!!!! l/f
Scott Kingery replied:
Thanks, Lois. My late father's garage is a treasure trove of oddball stuff. My dad was a talented fixer as well (I didn't inherit any of that).
